Children’s Story

I painted three trees, grouped together like a small grove. They are connected, yet each has its own rhythm. The repetition isn’t just a stylistic choice; it’s a way of embracing a certain childlike simplicity, a nod to the naïve style that I find so freeing. You’ll see it in the rounded shapes, in the playful use of color, and in the gentle shifts between light and shadow.

The number three took me back to childhood stories, specifically, Goldilocks and the Three Bears. But in my version, Goldilocks doesn’t find porridge. She stumbles upon these three trees, perhaps with bright oranges hanging from their branches. It’s a small, imagined moment. Soft, curious, and open to interpretation. Just like the art itself.
