Generous Tree

Every artwork comes with a COA (certificate of authenticity).

This painting was inspired by a Ficus tree in my neighborhood garden, captured at noon on a scorching summer day in Israel. I was drawn to the way a parked car was parked in the shade beneath the tree almost as if it too was seeking refuge from the heat.

I used bold colors and strong contrasts to reflect not just the appearance of the scene, but the feeling of it. The intensity of the sun, the texture of the wood, and that overwhelming midday heat.
