Hasidic Song

The painting is abstract, like a poem. It is a combination of letters for words and sentences. The song can be a personal composition or a familiar and well-known one – whatever you want and what you connect to. I chose shades of blue to indicate that the idea is a sacred song, even a prayer.

What is a Hasidic song? Privately, it reminds everyone of something different. These may be the joy, the rhythm, the emotion, the spiritual ascension, and the “togetherness” in the collective singing of the song.

For me, the main impression and beauty of a Hasidic song is that many sing it together. Like the shapes in the painting: spontaneous, mixed, varied, and colorful, they combine and create the atmosphere in the image.
