This painting was inspired by the story of Jacob’s Ladder and the sense of wonder it evokes. I imagined an inspirational ray of sunlight breaking through the clouds, illuminating the world below with a heavenly glow. To me, this beam of light feels like a metaphorical ladder, a connection between earth and the divine, a reminder of the infinite possibilities that lie beyond. As I painted, I wanted to capture the peace and hope that come from moments of spiritual clarity. The soft interplay of light and shadow invites a sense of calm and reflection, creating a piece that feels both uplifting and grounding.
